New Term at Tower Road
Over the summer our Tower Road site was transformed into our Lower School with the re-development of the classrooms and garden area for the younger children. The year has started in great spirits.
There has been a degree of adjustment and shaking down, but the children and staff are all settled into using the two sites and look forward in equal measure to visiting Undershaw and to returning home to Tower Road.
We celebrated Roald Dahl day on 13 September; as well as learning about Roald's extraordinary life, we all read aloud from our favourite stories, before listening to the last story he ever wrote - the largely unknown story of 'The Minpins'.
On Friday, 30 September, we held a MacMillan Coffee Morning. The children did a serious amount of baking, which, plus donated goodies meant that we have made over £200 for charity. On the morning itself, all children who wished to participate, worked really hard - meeting and greeting, selling, collecting, making conversation, showing guests around the school and probably the most fun of all, looking after the many toddlers and babies. Thank you to everyone who helped and contributed.
