Rupert's Story

In 2014 Rupert was nominated by his form teacher, Geogina Saralis, for the chance to take part in the 'Unlocking Potential' programme, run jointly by the AQA and the Kelly Holmes Trust. Rupert was selected from a strong field.

The programme motivates and inspires young people aged between 14 and 19 by providing them with eight months of dedicated support from high-achieving athletes. As well as receiving in-depth mentoring, the young people plan and deliver a project in their local community.  Rupert was mentored by paralympic swimming medal holder Graham Edmunds.
